Roby and Andrea were walking in the park beside the school. After walk several minutes, they decided to sat under the big tree.
“Hi, Andrea. I heard Mr. Aston announce the stories which have been selected for the national competition.”
“Yeah,” Andrea replied, unenthusiastic.
“You don’t sound too excited about it. You took part, didn’t you?” Asked Roby.
Andrea sighed heavily and then hee nodded his head, “You took part too, didn’t you?”
“Yes, I did.” Roby answered.
Andrea lean back to the tree. He was looking down at his shoesand rolled his eyes. He felt uncomfortable.
“Hi, you are OK, aren’t you?” Roby asked. He looks so worried about his friend.
“I’m fin, Rob. I just …” Andrea stopped his sentence.
“Just what?”
“Um… N-Nothing. Yeah nothing.” Andrea stammered.
“Come on! Wanna talk about it with me?” Roby offered.
Andrean took a deep breath trying to find the right word. He really really want to talk about something with Roby but he afraid it would hurt Roby’s heart.
“I think your story is better than mine.” Andrea said.
“What do you mean? I didn’t get it.”
“Yes. You can see the result. You are the third winner and I got nothing.” Andrea rolled his eyes. He saw Roby felt guilty.
“I’m sorry, Ndre. I don’t know you want that position…” Roby sighed.
“But you were winning it last year, weren’t you?” Roby said. “Come on! Don’t be sad like this.”
Actually, Andrea felt heartbroken but he mustn’t be a crybaby. So, he smiled to Roby.
“I think it’s going to be great, you know. I can learn from my fault, can I?” Andrea looked at Roby again.
Roby smiled.
“That’s Andrea I know. I’m sure you’ll make it next year.”
